A few guidelines from the TOP!

Our Covid-19 Policy @Corner4

Should your ski holiday be affected by Covid-19 between 1st December 2020 until 30th September 2021 all guests booking direct with Corner4 for winter and summer will benefit from our COVID policy.

Our Deposit policy allows you to transfer your DEPOSIT paid, no questions asked, to another date of your choice within 24 months of your original holiday start date, completely free of charge with no hidden costs (dates depending on current availability). We do however stipulate that this date transfer is carried out 10weeks prior to your arrival date, thus releasing the dates to other travellers. If you wish to retain your reservation then please remember the final balance of your stay needs to be made 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday.

Our Balance policy applies once your final balance is paid. Should your situation change in that you cannot travel as planned on the agreed start date of your holiday, specifically due to Covid-19 restrictions as per the list below, we agree to offer 100% reimbursement of all monies paid towards your original holiday as a credit note. This credit note can be redeemed against a stay here at Corner4 during winter or summer (dates depending on current availability) and must be used for holidays taken within 24 months of your original holiday start date. Alternatively, should you prefer a partial refund, we are happy to offer you a 50% refund of all monies paid once your final balance has been settled in full.

Government Restrictions must be in place on the start date of your holiday to be entitled to this Guarantee.

We reserve the right to ask for official documentation proving restrictions were in place on the start date of your holiday before refunds or credit notes will be processed. Any credit notes or refunds will be issued 30 days after the agreed start date of your holiday.

The following restrictions apply on the day you are due to travel:

  • Your countries Foreign Office advises against all non-essential travel to France

  • Closure of your departure country borders

  • Closure of French borders

  • Your home country introduces local lockdown measures, preventing you from leaving your local area

  • French National or Local Government introduces obligatory quarantine measures for guests arriving into France or Morzine

  • French National or Local Government has introduced local or general lockdown measures which result in us being unable to operate as a business

Please note, that the restrictions above does not include:

  • Your countries Foreign Office advises against all non-essential travel to Switzerland, or closure of Swiss borders, assuming you are flying to Geneva, as there are other methods of travelling to Morzine to fulfil your holiday (ie. Road & Rail)

If the Government Restrictions imposed, or the travel advice given by the French Government, or your home/return country’s Government, changes part way through your holiday forcing you to cut your holiday short, Corner4 will not issue a credit voucher or refund for any part of your holiday. You will need to claim this on your travel insurance. If you wish to make a claim on your travel insurance then Corner4 will supply any documentation you need.

For concerns about future government restrictions being applied, a disinclination to travel because of Covid-19, a disinclination to travel because of UK national or localised quarantines on your return, or if your travel arrangements ( flight, ferry or tunnel crossing ) are cancelled for any reason, then Corner4 does not accept any liability or responsibility to issue refunds or credit vouchers and will not pay any other compensation.

If you are showing signs or symptoms of Covid-19 or a test positive for COVID 19, provided that Corner4 is “open for business” and can fulfil its contractual obligations, then Corner4 does not accept any liability or responsibility to issue refunds or credit vouchers and will not pay any other compensation. You will need to claim this on your travel insurance. If you wish to make a claim on your travel insurance then Corner4 will supply any documentation you need.

Covid Measures in Resort and on the Mountain

Morzine - Avoriaz have recently announced: “We’re prepared for the winter season and we’ve put everything in place to welcome you in the best conditions and in compliance with government directives. We do not yet have all the answers, but we are doing everything we can to guarantee the best possible safety in the ski area.”

As for the Ski Area and Morzine Village…. this is what we know so far:

  • Masks will be compulsory in lift queues and on lifts, however they will not be required when you are actually skiing.

  • Masks will be compulsory in public places and outside in busy areas.

  • Restaurants and bars will only offer table service and the tables should be at least 1 metre apart.

  • Masks should be worn when moving around the restaurant or bar and hydro alcoholic gel must always be available.

  • Masks will also be compulsory on resort transport including ski shuttles, ordinary bus service and on the little train which runs between lifts.

  • There are currently no plans to limit the number of skiers in the ski area at any one time.

  • Physical distancing will be implemented in lift queues.

  • There will be frequent disinfection of all contact areas around lift stations often multiple times per day.

  • Hydro alcoholic gel will be made available during the ski rental process.

  • There will be compulsory wearing of masks when renting ski equipment. All equipment to be disinfected between users.

Cleaning Standards

At Corner4 we have always prided ourselves on extremely high standards of cleanliness. We are now taking extra precautions to disinfect all high contact touch points such as light switches, remote controls, keypads, handles and knobs in addition to our usual cleaning regimes. We are a hospitality business and first and foremost we don’t want to lose sight of this – we are here to offer exceptional accommodation for you to enjoy a fabulous holiday, even during these uncertain times. We will ensure a spotlessly clean chalet for your friends and family to relax and unwind after this incredibly turbulent period.

Our Team’s safety and Yours

We are taking extra precautions to protect you and our team. As your stay here will be self-catered, we will meet you on arrival to show you around the property but the guidelines and resort information will be detailed in a document on arrival, in addition to being sent digitally before your stay.

We are always available to answer any questions at any time during your stay and if you need us in person for anything, we can do this, however, this will be at social distance with mask protection.

From all of us at Corner4, we wish you a happy, healthy and safe stay here with us in Morzine.
